Maryland Politics Today was started as a personal,
online notebook of all that is political in Maryland. I wanted to
learn what was happening outside of Central Maryland and the Capital
Region. Living in Laurel, I have access to Baltimore Channels (over
the air) and Washington Channels (over cable.) The bonus side of
starting this blog was that I get to cover politics.
My goal is to be truly fair and balanced in posting
stories on this blog site. I will not insert my own opinion while
writing the story, but you can post a comment. They are moderated on
this site as a means to keep things civil and on point. When I do
write a commentary, it will be clearly labeled, which is why some of the
entries in the archive have "My OPINION."
The stories selected on this sight are not only major
stories, but they are also stories that you might not know about in other
parts of the state.
You also might notice that there are minor lapses.
There are two reasons behind this. First, I do have a paying day
job, and depending on the schedule, I might not be able to work on this
blog when I get home. The second reason is that there were no
interesting developments to report on.
But for the most part, I am a one man operation who is
not getting paid for this. Although, I might set up some selected
items from amazon.com to sell through this site (I would kindly ask that
if you are interested, please patronize the link through this website.)
If you have any news tips or press releases, you can
email them to pkbnews@gmail.com or
fax them to (302) 347-9436. That is a Delaware area code on the fax
number, it's a free fax number from efax. No complaints here,
especially since it's the closest area code to Maryland. Just know
that when you fax, it is going to a Maryland address.
