Yes, it’s a war…but I’m still saying Happy Holidays

...and Happy Holidays too!
I will be the first person to tell you that the “War on Christmas” is not imaginary. It is very real. At which point I turned to her and asked, “When did you guys have a tree for Chaunukkah growing up?” I think Target didn’t want to hear it this year because they have big “Marry Christmas” signs hanging all over the store. The Maryland News Company
For the past couple of months, I have been slowly (but surely) putting together my multi-media side gig, the name of my company is “The Maryland News Company.” Obviously, this is being founded on my strong journalism background, although I will try to move into other areas, such as consulting.
I have had my domain for the company: themdnews.com for a couple of months, but didn’t know what I want to do with it. I thought about starting another blog, but I can only manage two (this one and Maryland Politics Today.)
I already have the hardware established at home (minus the ISDN line, I do have skype though). Since I completed building my studio last year, I have produced newscasts for national syndication from my house, in addition to radio programs for national syndication and news stories for WNAV-AM.
I will let you know when the new site is for my company is established.
But in the meantime, what are you looking for in a multi-media company.
Finally produced a demo…
I remember a while ago that I was going to sit down and produce a demo CD of me on the radio. This is a task that I finally completed today. So for those of you who want to hear how I sound on the radio (especially my friends who I know do not listen to AM Radio and by the way, I forgive you), here is my first demo…which I am proud of.
