Defying The Odds #1
From Personal Faith, Public Policy by Harry R. Jackson Jr. and Tony Perkins (from the Family Research Council, not the FOX 5 Weather Guy):
Over the years, the Family Research Council (FRC) has done a great deal of research on current trends in the family, including research on father absence. FRC has discovered that:
1. Children from single-parent homes are likely to suffer economic poverty
2 Children from single-parent homes are more likely to develop emotional problems.
3. Chilrend from single-parent homes are more likely to experience abuse.
4. Single mothers are more likely to live in poverty than married mothers.
Well…I don’t have any of those issues. Plus I have a pretty good relationship with my dad. God is GOOD!
Jim Cramer OWNED by Jon Stewart
I kind of feel bad because Jim Cramer is fun to watch on TV:
Counting down until being rich is not a crime.
January 20, 2013 is the day where it will be OK be be rich again…well, at least until $250,000 is not considered rich anymore.
I don’t know how I can plainly state this:
PEOPLE WHO MAKE $250,000 PER YEAR AS INCOME ARE NOT RICH PEOPLE.
Despite this, President Obama is going to raise taxes on those making $200,000 a year if you’re single and $250,000 if you are a family.
MSNBC.com has an article on their site from the New Mexico Business Weekly, where a respresentative from the U.S. Chamber of Commerce says that this budget would discourage small business owners in particular from investing in the companies. If they do grow their company, it is only to make up for the amount of cash they would be out with the higher taxes.
Essentially, if you have aspirations on being rich, wait until one of the following happens:
• Common sense kicking in (and it’s not looking good.)
• January 20, 2013
• Make sure you have enough to compensate for being penalized for succeeding.
The latter is what this all boils down to. Depending on your world view, you are being penalized for working hard and being successful or you are expected to help people who don’t help themselves. Notice I said DON’T. It’s one thing to help people who are working hard to be successful, but it’s a completely different animal to force people to give to those that are not even trying. Those that expect something for nothing without putting forth the effort. ow before some people start saying that I do not care about the poor or those who are not able to do anything, let me make this clear, I am talking about those who are fully able to make the right choices or do the right thing. I am not talking about those who were victims of skeems or those who are completely helpless in general.
Since where does it dictate that when you succeed that you are suppose to help any and everyone? If people do not want the help, why bother? That might sound cold, but why help someone off the ground the kicks at you each time you try? More importantly, when is Obama going to emphasize the personal responsibility that he loved to talk about last year?
