Pick A Standard and Stick With It
First and foremost, shout out to Miss Jia for bringing this one to my attention via myspace.
Here is the video report from WPVI-TV in Philadelphia…

Here is the problem I have. Growing up, we have been advised that you do not want to work in the adult entertainment industry, it’s demeaning towards women and that it is a dirty and dangerous industry. We tell people who are in it to get out of it because they can do better. We encourage them to explore new lives, do anything except be a porn star. So, why must boundaries be set for those who are trying to do good, by those who would seem to be the very same people who have a problem with pornography. We either want people to change or not at all. We either want people to not work in porn, or not.
To hear the pre-school teacher Maria Martin explain that someone with “that” background should not be working around young children is fascinating. The last time I checked, the people who seem to get arrested for molesting or sleeping with students are people who in fact do not have a background in the adult industry, but those who went to school for education. As a matter of fact, it was a shock last year when I was watching the news and saw that my former high school geometry teacher was accused of…showing off his right angle to a school bus full of students heading to crew practice. Just do a simple Google News search and you will see a number of teachers who are just off the hook.
So if those like Ms. Martin have kids, I hope that they are just the perfect little angels who do not make one single mistake. I sincerely hope that they have no idea what it’s like to be a mere mortal like the rest of us. People like Ms. Martin, if they are parents, are probably wound up to a point that they have a vision for their kids which more than likely involves them living vicariously through their son or daughter. In other words, look for the kids to get s-canned if they decide to follow their own vision and not their parents.
