Time for the ‘Double’ Up

Before I continue, I just want to say that I cannot stand Ann Coulter.  She is a detriment to the conservative side of the argument who goes for the shock rather than the point.  I refuse to read her books because she has not proven that she can make her point without being over the line insulting.  With that said, I also would like to point out that I am a big lover of intellectual honesty, something that liberals have yet to get a grasp on.  Both are illustrated in this clip as I give credit to Ann Coulter for not only making a valid point, but calling out the Rev. Al Sharpton on his hypocrisy.

The fact of the matter is that Coulter is absolutely correct in stating that if Sen. Harry Reid of Nevada was a Republican, Sharpton would be calling for his resignation, and would not stop calling for Reid’s resignation until it happened.  In fact, I think when compared to now former Senator Trent Lott (R-MS), Reid is getting off light.  Lott said that America would be a better place had Strom Thurmond (who was a Democrat until 1964 for the record) would had been better if he was elected President in 1948.  Still a stupid thing to say considering that Thurmond was running as a segregationist.  What Reid said was a lot worse, nevermind the fact that he used the overly outdated term, “Negro.”

What’s bad about this?

This is one of those things that I had to see for myself; Brit Hume on Fox News Sunday suggesting to Tiger to take up Christianity.  Could you blame me?  Usually when you hear about someone suggesting turning to Jesus as one’s savior, the news travels fast to the point that people want to scream red.  So when I watched the video of what Brit said I wondered…

Before I proceed, my thoughts and prayers go out to the families of the victims involved with the tragedy that occurred in Fort Hood, Texas.

What I read from the Associated Press:

His name appears on radical Internet postings. A fellow officer says he fought his deployment to Iraq and argued with Soldiers who supported U.S. wars. He required counseling as a medical student because of problems with patients.  There are many unknowns about Army Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan, the man authorities say is responsible for the worst mass killing on a U.S. military base. As of this morning 13 people are dead and 30 wounded following his alleged shooting spree at Fort Hood, Texas.

First and foremost, the question that keeps coming up in my mind is why did they let this guy go as far as he did in his career.  It was documented that he has issues, yet he was allowed to continue. Read more

Blacks need Democrats; so says Obama Administration

October 22, 2009 · Posted in News, politics · Comment

If you are Black, this should insult you.

The Washington Times reported on Tuesday that the Obama Administration had overruled a local election in Kinston, N.C. where citizens decided to make their municipal elections non-partisan.  The reason given for denying the overwhelming result of the local election:

…partisan elections are needed so that black voters can elect their “candidates of choice” – identified by the department as those who are Democrats and almost exclusively black.

That’s right, friends.  The reason behind this decision is to make sure that Black voters keep voting Democrat; thus continuing the bamboozling.

This is an insult because the White House is essentially saying that Blacks need Democrats so they can come out on Election Day.  That is in addition to using the Federal Government in ways that should alarm everyone; intervening in a local matter where an overwhelming majority made a decision involving their community for the sole reason or partisan politics.

In a way, based on the past eight months of a polarizing White house, this does not come as a surprise.
